Creating Evolution
I'm still so confused by this whole debate. The universe had to begin somewhere somehow. We all know this to be true. There is a beginning to everything that has ever existed. So why have we not gotten to the point where we, as a society, are having a serious, intellectual debate that says that both creationism AND evolution are possible?! I'm not even saying that I believe in both, but why can''t both sides see that in the very least its possible that the universe was created, but that it has evolved from that initial existence. It is too difficult for me to overlook the overwhelming scientific data that proves the existence of evolution. However, I am not so thick-headed and arrogant to think that I know everything there is to know. When are we going to open our minds and see that both of these theories can coexist without discarding one another?? To the believers in creationism I would say this: Even if tomorrow we all agreed that the universe was created by God him/herself, why is it not possible that after that initial creation things have evolved over time? To deny the immense volumes of science is down-right moronic and ignorant. The same group believes the theory that God created us with a free will. Is this not a form of evolution in itself? Follow me....We are born with certain traits that play a role in shaping who we become and what we believe. Throw in a free will to change our minds, and think differently than our families/friends/teachers/ and so on, and what do you get?? An evolving human being. So if its possible that we can evolve mentally, why can't we evolve physically as well? Now to the evolutionists.... I'm with you when it comes to the vast science that backs up the theory of evolution. But to you I ask this, where was the beginning to everything? I understand the Big Bang theory, but even that theory has to have a beginning of something to crash into something that exploded creating something. It is just as arrogant and ignorant for the evolutionists to think that everything just began from nothing and has continued to evolve as it is for creationists to ignore scientific proof. Here is the thing, no one knows, or quite possibly will ever know how things got started. There are theories. But theories are just that...theories. Created by men and women who are fallible, therefore their theories are exactly that as well. Fallible! So please, can we all just stop pretending like we know it all and admit that there are so many questions about the universe around us that we just will never know? And until the day when we do know it all (which is the 25th of NEVER), let's open our minds and ears, close our mouths for just a little bit to listen to each other, and agree that both sides just might be correct! Again, I'm not saying that I necessarily believe in both myself, but I'm not thick-headed enough to say that I know which is right. Therefore, I'm open to the idea that both can be possible side-by-side without denying the other.

Blowhardiness is a Sin!
Where to begin with these award shows. I guess I'll start by saying... WHAT?!?! First off, let me also say that the sheer number of awards shows these days has gotten WAY out of control. There are awards shows for everything. Here is a short list of some of the ones we have heard of.
* The Oscars
* The Golden Globes
* The Grammys
* The Daytime Emmys
* The Nighttime Emmys
* The SAG Awards
* The Independent Spirit Awards
* The Screen Actor's Guild Awards
* The People's Choice Awards
* The Critic's Awards
* The Tony's
* The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards
* The Academy of Country Music Awards
* The British Academy Television Awards
* The MTV Music Awards
* The MTV Video Music Awards
* The American Music Awards
* The Video Game Awards
* The ESPY'S
* The Prime time Cartoon Awards
* The Image Awards
* The BET Awards
* The AVN Awards (the only one that really matters)
I could go on and on. There are literally hundreds I have left off. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy Music, TV, Movies, Cartoons, video games, and the rest of the things these awards are being handed out in recognition of. I also think that the men and women getting these awards are, for the most part, talented people in their fields. The trouble I have with awards shows mainly comes from the absurd and obscene amounts of money thrown around. I heard that for this year's Oscars, the gift bags that were given to the nominees and presenters were worth upwards of $25,000!! That's right, $25,000! The designer gowns and jewels worn to these events cost gaudy amounts of money. I find it to be very hypocritical of many of these Hollywood blowhards. If any of them even cared a marginal amount of what they portray themselves to, they would be boycotting these awards, especially in these tough times, and telling the awards show producers to give the money spent to put on these events to good causes. We could fund the building of a school with the money the Oscars create by themselves. Our country is facing real dangers at this delicate time in history. We have so many more things to be focused on and spending our energy doing. We should be as interested in the bailouts as we are with what designer gown Angelina Jolie is wearing, or whether or not Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are going to ever tie the knot. It disappoints me to no end that these are the things Americans hold dear to their hearts. Our country is falling and no one is there to pick it up because we are all too fixated on the Octomom, or Britney's hair cuts. Wake up people, because if you don't, while you are preoccupied, our country is being reoccupied.....by foreign money!!!!

Face-Schmuck
Did I miss the memo about facebook headlines? Apparently I did, because I was not apprised that facebook was the place to let the world know every uninteresting detail about yourself and your boring life. I 'm barely interested in my own life half the time. I mean come on, do I need to know the following things about you? And yes, these are real and true facebook headlines from just this last week alone... (Names have been deleted to protect the guilty.....you know who you are)
1).......is bummed she has to work tomorrow!
2).......is going to get her papers all organized...finally.
3).......is wishing that I could win the lottery... oh the things I would do.
4).......is 3 days 4 nights I think.
5).......is about to leave to take my Brother and Megan to the airport!
6).......is leaving early. Then to Yoga!!
7).......is completely annoyed with my husbands job :(
8).......seared scallops tonight... mmmmm.
9).......is still coughing!!!!
10).....is just chillin'.
11).....is glad it's almost friday.
12).....is not a woo girl.
13).....is kinda bored today.
14).....is home from work.
15).....really likes palm trees.
16).....can't hardly wait.
17).....is working.
18).....going to kick butt at the gym.
19).....wants more babies.
20).....is hungry.
If you feel the need to write something on your headline, please at least make it something productive. A great quote, something to make people think, send someone in need some words of encouragement or support, plug your band's show. But please, stop telling us every little thing you do throughout the day. The people that really matter to you and care probably already know these things about you.

Inaugural Post
So let me get this straight....I'm supposed to write on this blog the abundant amount of useless shit and worthless ideas that overflow my mind, the thoughts that kept me out of the really good schools, and you actually are going to read it? Wow, you are stupider than I thought. Had you ever heard the nonsense that spews from my mouth it would likely dissuade you from reading this. I'm warning you ahead of time that this is going to waste your time. It will probably make you want to scream. And it will definitely piss you off. I hope some of it will at least make you laugh, smile, and maybe even think. I know I know, you don't want to have to think. Thinking is difficult. It takes too much energy and god forbid, THOUGHT! You want your information in watered-down snippets that are easy to understand and synthesize. Oh wait, have I lost you already with my big words? Replace synthesize with digest. No, if I use digest you may get confused and think I'm talking about food. But chances are you are part of the GROWING pop culture trend of obesity in our country and you probably have food in front of you right now so maybe digest will work.
Anyshit, my words are just that, words. My opinions are my own and should be taken with a grain of salt. With that said, if you take them personally then good. I'm probably talking about you anyway so that kind of works out for us both.
